Charly formed Canyon Discoveries in 1988 after he discovered his personal passion, "sharing the Canyon experience with the world."

"I first rafted the Grand Canyon in 1978, and my life changed", says Charly. "Since then, I have been privileged to share the life changing power of the Grand Canyon as a speaker, author, coach, photographer, and professional raft guide. I am deeply touched by the experiences of ordinary people facing their fears and demonstrating extraordinary courage. Often it takes "out-of-the-box" places and challenges to help us appreciate the depth of courage and ability we have . . . and may not realize. My work is reflected in my mission, which is to help people tap into that deep reservoir and discover what it takes to live fulfilling, productive, and adventurous lives."
